WAYS TO HELP!

Ø      Serve lunch with us on Sundays at noon at 14th and Douglas

Ø      Get on a schedule to cook (as little or as much as you would like)

Ø      Pray for the downtown community we are serving and for us as we seek to help

Ø      Donate gently used or new:

Warm men’s/women’s clothing

Coats, boots, gloves and hats

Blankets and sleeping bags

Large backpacks and duffel bags

New white cotton men’s tube socks

Ø      Donate the following personal hygiene items (travel sizes are best):

Men’s/women’s deodorant

Bar soap

Q-tips

Women’s feminine products

Foot powder

Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

Chapstick

Ø      Donate money to buy or purchase boots for the men/women who have requested them each week.  We buy Ozark Trail boots from Walmart.  They cost around $12.00 a pair.  If you are interested in fulfilling specific needs, ask for a list of names and sizes for the current week and let us know who you would like to buy for.  We would be glad to shop for you if your time is limited.  The need is great in this area as we are heading into the coldest part of winter and warm feet are essential.

Ø      Donate bus tickets or the money to buy them.  Some of these guys/gals need to get around to jobs and to conduct government/health business.  The tickets come in books of ten.  The books are $13 for 10 rides with transfers and $12.50 for 10 rides without transfers.

Ø      Donate money to us directly for the purchase of any of the above items.  All money donated goes directly to buy the items we need each week as well as food each week to feed 150+ people.

Thank you for your consideration!  It has been so amazing to love on this community of people and we pray you will join us.  God’s greatest blessings await those who serve those He loves!!
